Employers support our Nation by employing the citizen soldiers of the National Guard. In return, National Guard service members contribute valuable ethics and character traits reinforced by their military service and training to their place of employment.

- The laws and regulations that employers must be aware of when hiring National Guard and Reserve members as employees contained in the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA).
- The services and activities of the National Committee for Employer Support for Guard and Reserve (ESGR). This organization supports National Guard and Reserve members and their employers. It also offers informal mediation and referral services when requested to help resolve conflicts.
