User Guide
Search: Search’s the site’s database for keywords and displays a search results list of the different content areas that contain that keyword. Clicking on a search result will display the content section that contains the keyword that was searched for.
News: Allows the user to view news items. Users can search for news items by date, keyword or by letter. Their searches will return a list of news items and the user can select the new item of interest to get the full news listing.
Training: This triggers a pop-up window that verifies the user’s identity through a log-in screen, and redirects them to a training area.
Resources: Lists all the different resources available to National Guard Members and allows them to select a resource. Items on this list will in turn redirect the user to the resource area they are interested in viewing.
Help: Displays the content of this help document, providing the user with helpful information on site navigation and content.
Login: This activates a slide down panel with a log-in form that redirects the administrator into the administration section of the site where they can dynamically update the site content. In case the administrator cannot remember his or her password, there is a text link on this panel that will allow for the forgotten information is sent to them.
Guest book: This activates a slide down panel with a form that allows the user to sign the National Guard Guest book.
Youth: This is a link that loads the National Guard Family Youth website in a separate window.
Feedback: User’s can provide feedback to a specified National Guard email recipient.
Sitemap: A simple layout of the site’s navigation structure. If the user selects an item from this sitemap, this action will close the pop-up window and the main interface will animate to display the content for the item selected on the sitemap pop-up.
Contact: A list the National Guard Office Personnel’s contact info.
Calendar: A calendar that allows the user to find National Guard items as posted for the selected date
Poll: This will activate a slide up panel on the main site that allows the user to take a poll as designed by the site administrator through the poll admin tool.
Questium: This redirects the user to the Questium site.

Community Center: This link redirects the user to the Community Center content section.
Education: This link redirects the user to the Education content section.
Medical: This link redirects the user to the Medical content section.
Finance: This link redirects the user to the Finance content section.
Legal: This link redirects the user to the Legal content section.
Army Guard: This link redirects the user to the Army Guard content section.
Air Guard: This link redirects the user to the Air Guard content section.
Deployment: This link redirects the user to the Deployment content section.
Features Portlet (only on 3d menu): This activates a pop-up that displays feature events as posted on the 3d drive-in theatre by the administrator.
Baseball Portlet (only on 3d menu): This displays the current number of site hits as well as a link to any feature posted on the baseball by the site administrator.
Road-sign Portlet(only on 3d menu): This displays the title and a link to any topic, feature or title that the site administrator chooses to display on the road-sign graphic
