Sesame Workshop is committed to supporting National Guard and

Reserve families and young children coping with issues such as

deployments, homecomings, and changes. All of these materials are FREE to military families.

This bilingual kit features Elmo and friends as they cope with

challenging situations: deployment and when a parent returns

home changed due to combat-related injury. Materials include a

DVD and print resources for children and adults.

Sesame Street Family Connections

Stay connected to your family near and far on this new site from

Sesame Workshop! Tools designed just for young children help families

communicate and create new memories. Add Sesame characters to

your family network, and watch Sesame Street Muppets talk about their feelings during difficult transitions.

The Sesame Street/USO Experience for Military Families

Kids delight as they sing and dance with Elmo and his friends during this exciting live show created exclusively for military families. Track

the tour’s progress traveling from military installations in the USA, Europe, and Asia! Check back often to see when the 2010 tour might be coming to your neighborhood!

Sesame Rooms

Bright colors, fun toys, and friendly faces: Sesame Rooms provides

a “Room-in-a-Box” to deserving family-focused spaces across the

country. With over 35 locations and 30 more to come, this project is bringing smiles and Sesame Street style to thousands of children

Coming in April 2010: When Families Grieve is a bilingual kit and

television special that support children and families coping with the death of a parent. Materials include a DVD and print resources for

children and adults.
