Guard Family Team Building is a specially designed education
and training program for and about the National Guard Community.
The online program modules cover a wide variety of topics most
often requested by families and National Guard leadership. GFTB
is modeled on the successful “Army Family Team Building” program.
However, GFTB has been specifically developed to educate and
empower those within the National Guard Community.

It’s not always easy being young. In fact, having to deal with the pressures involved at school, home, and with the National Guard can make your life stressful.
How do you keep all of these stressors under control? This course will not only help you learn how to identify when you are under stress, but it will provide you with the skills to effectively help yourself and others in your community deal with these challenges.
The course is divided into various components. Once you have enrolled in the course, you can proceed
through each component at your own pace.

Adjusting to life during times of deployment can cause much emotional and physical stress. For instance, do you know what kinds of reactions and thoughts you may experience during each phase of deployment? Do you know some things you can do for your deployed family member to make separation easier for you? If you are a parent or educator, do you know how to effectively support and help your loved ones or students during this time?
By participating in this course, you will learn how to ease the anxiety associated with deployment.
